How to Downsize Your Hand Luggage Beauty Picks

Take a peek at my hand luggage…

*SOME OF THE ITEMS IN THIS POST WERE GIFTED TO ME BY COMPANIES, THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED POST AND ALL MY THOUGHTS AND REVIEWS ARE MY OWN.

It’s been a little while since I’ve had to take hand luggage with a restriction on liquids so I thought I would share with you what I packed in my hand luggage for my recent Euro trip. It’s nothing mind boggling but I’ve found some ace little products perfect for travelling and not compromising on quality or ethics.

No Full Face Here

I’m not a full face of make up girl anyway but even more so when it comes to holidays, I just want to get up and start exploring rather than faff about getting ready with contouring etc. Due to my relativley religious make up routine my I’m happy with bare skin so foundations and primers were quickly out of the picture. Just a blend of LA Girl concealer under the eyes – lightweight but with good coverage, a few individual lashes to make me look vaguley put together and a slick of Albus & Flora tinted lip balm to add a bit of colour and keep my lips hydrated in the cold weather. No brushes or tools just glue and tweezers as extra’s.

Condensed Skin Routine

If I could I would have chucked my whole vanity into my wash bag and taken every elixer with me, however I had to downsize a little and pick the most important things. I was lucky enough to be sent a sample/starter pack of Green People skincare including this lovely gentle cleanser & make up remover, it’s very gentle on the skin and removes makeup with ease, it does say you can use it on your eyes but I opted for a mini B.Pure Micellar Water instead as a first cleanse before following up with the Green People cleanser as a second cleanse – also great in the mornings.

For some reason I only took a morning moisturiser, again by Green People; this was not a huge hit apart from the size and I wish I had picked up something else or decanted one of my current favourites for the holiday. It just didn’t feel hydrating on the skin, it almost dried it out more. The Mr had his thicker mosituriser so I ended up stealing some of his to make sure my skin didn’t dry out completley.

I first of all packed flannels but realised they were so bulky in my packing that Cheeky Wipes were a much better option for keeping everything compact and lightweight.

Sharing Shampoo

The Mr could not be less fussed about what he washes his hair with, me on the other hand am a little more picky. Lucky I love the Green People Quiona & Artichoke Shampoo & Conditioner and have them in a mini version so there wasn’t too much hesitation when packing. It helps restore the shine to my hair and the quinoa proteins nourish the damaged ends and the matching conditioner helps smooth any frizz. With my newly cut hair and not a huge user of hair dryers I didn’t really have to think about styling products however I know that my favourites Percy & Reed have mini sizes of their amazing products so if I was in need I would have happily packed those in as well.

Are you a miniature lover or a decanter?
