My Beauty Essentials I Can’t Travel Without

We’re going old school blog here with what’s in my travel make-up bag. 

I won’t lie if you’re a frequent reader of the blog there is nothing ground breaking in this post. I am not a travel mini type of a girl, unless i’m travelling with just hand luggage, which isn’t very often anymore. My skincare doesn’t differ too much when I go away although I do cut down on a few serums and face masks obviously. In Italy this year I tended to wear less make-up because I can’t be bothered to faff about with touchups during the day.

Let’s start with my morning routine, we would wake up relatively early to start the days activities so I needed a quick routine. I cleansed my face with the Soap&Glory Peaches and Clean – I used this at night as well it’s the perfect all bases covered cleanser and travels well as you can lock the pump. Then I would swipe a Pixi Glow Tonic to Go pad all over my face before applying the Soap&Glory Speed Plump. Normally I would go in with a facial oil afterwards but I needed a facial SPF on so I switched the oil out for the Soap&Glory Sunshield Superfluid SPF50+. Non greasy, easy to apply and doesn’t leave a white cast on your skin. Foundation can apply over the top but I decided to let the freckles shine through.

Speaking of make up, I lived in individual lashes – currently loving the Ardell ones. Took me 10 minutes every morning and I was ready to go, popped some No7 Skin Illuminator all over my face to add a bit of glow and then protected my lips with the Albus & Flora SPF 20 Lip Balm. Super simple and super easy, no faffing about with a full face of make-up.

My night time routine followed pretty much the same lines as the the morning, took off the majority of my makeup with the B. Pure Micellar Water followed with Soap&Glory Peaches and Clean. Another Pixi Glow Tonic to Go pad all over the face and then my Yesto Carrots Night Cream. Being in the sun all day my skin needed as much hydrating as possibly and this cream is the perfect product.

Body wise after every shower I added a generous coat of the Body Shop Almond Milk and Honey body butter, lightweight but nourishing. Obviously during the day I wore Factor 50 Boots Soltan Sun Lotion all over! It’s doesn’t leave you with that greasy feeling and despite being inexpensive works wonders to protect my pale skin. I always have perfume on, its part of my morning routine and the Inis Energy of the Sea is the perfect travel perfume, not only is it a stunning scent but the bottle is just the right size.

Every holiday i go on I see myself packing different ‘essentials’ this would definitely be different if this had been a city break!
