I thought that packing for Scotland would be easy, it’s not far from home and I know it rains but I still didn’t get it quite right. This was a full weeks wardrobe and for some unknown reason I still really wanted to pack light; even though it was hold luggage.

Here is what I packed:

  • 2 x White T-shirts (1 with a pattern)
  • 1 x White Shirt
  • 1 x Green Base Layer
  • 1 x Short Sleeve Thermal Vest
  • 2 x Jeans
  • 1 x White & Blue Jumpsuit
  • 1 x Navy Sweatshirt
  • 1 x Navy 3/4 zip fleece
  • 1 x Knitted Sweater Vest
  • 1 x Veja Trainers
  • 1 x Timberland Boots
  • 1 x Slytherin Scarf
  • 1 x Raincoat
  • 1 x Crossbody Bag
  • 1 x Baseball Cap
  • Underwear & Socks
  • PJ Trousers

To be fair I packed pretty well, I knew that layers were super important, and as we were doing a lot of walking and sightseeing comfort was key. However I do wish that both my outer layers hadn’t been blue and I had added another colour, only for some variety in photos. I also didn’t need to pack both white t-shirts, I could have done with just one but it’s always good to have a back up. I was however very happy that I took the jumpsuit as it was great for the one more ‘formal’ dinner we went for. My shoe choices were perfect, I could have packed in a pair of Toms if I wanted but my trainers do work as a smart casual option. My choices were very much tourist mode choices as there were plenty of people going around in dresses, heeled boots etc. but I am always comfort first when it comes to being on holiday.
