If you grew up in the 80’s or 90’s you might remember an amazing TV show called Whose Line is it Anyway which has recently been re-instated on American TV. Its an improvisation comedy show using suggestions from the studio audience and hilarity ensues. For two weeks only a few of the old and current members have got together to bring us Whose Line is it Anyway Live at the Adelphi Theatre.

Not wanting to miss out on the giggles K and I immediately booked tickets and we weren’t disappointed. A two hour show full of improvisation, rapping, audience participation and giggles. Even if you aren’t in the front row it will still have you rolling in the aisles. Performing are Josie Lawrence, Greg Proops, Colin Mocherie and Brad Sherwood and the whole show is presented by Clive Anderson.

If you can still get tickets I highly recommend it!

Update: Whose Live is back this year but this time its playing at the London Palladium ticket information can be found here.

June Favourites 2015

P1230122

Game of Thrones S1|No7 Skin Illuminator|Dermalogica Pure Night|No7 Hydration Mask|NARS Tinted Moisturiser.

June was a super busy month for me which meant that I pretty much ditched all make-up and concentrated more on skin care – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. As a dry skin sufferer this month I was loving the Dermalogica Pure Night moisturiser which really helps boost hydration back into the skin over night and means you wake up with gorgeously soft and moisturised skin. No7 Hydration Mask is one of the best things I have ever bought, it’s a hydrating face mask which I use at night time to add moisture back into my skin. These two skin care items combined is the answer to dry skin.

Make-up wise the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser has been the only base I have been wearing, it provides just enough coverage but doesn’t leave your face feeling cakey or heavy. To add that inner glow I have been mixing either my skin care or base with the No7 Skin Illuminator which adds a gorgeous gold glow to the skin without making you look like a glitter ball. I have also finally started watching Game of Thrones and I am 100% hooked, from now on I will be walking around in long flowing maxi skirts, gladiator sandals and a dragon on my shoulder.

What were you loving this June?

Sleek Contour Kit|Review

P1230113

Sleek Face Conotur Kit£6.49

I love to contour, I have good cheekbones anyway but there not up to Ms Jolies standard so I like to have a little help with them. As a pale girl for most of the year I often find it quite difficult to find contouring products which don’t look to orangey or muddy but the Sleek Contour Kit has a much cooler undertone which means it creates a shadow rather than a stripe. The kit also comes with a gorgeous champagne colour highlighter which is very subtle but still packed full of pigmentation. Easy to blend I love applying this with the Real Techniques Blush Brush or Setting Brush.

Top – H&M (similar)|Shorts – H&M(similar)|Belt – Thrifted (similar)|Wellies – Hunter|Hat – Primark (similar)|Sunglasses – Thrifted (similar).

Channelling the festival spirit in this outfit for a family day out at Painshill Park which you can read about here. This outfit started out with some Converse on but I changed into wellies because it was a little muddy. White shirt and blue jeans is one of my favourite combinations and these boyfriend shorts are the perfect denim for the summer – not to high up the leg and a little loose to allow maximum comfort. This was only the hats second outing, I love it but its very hard to wear in British weather – wind i’m looking at you!

I’m not going to any festivals this year but I will definitely be channelling the festival spirit in my everyday outfits.

Picnics at Painshill Park

P1230125

My sister and her husband came down to visit for the weekend, which was the perfect excuse for a Saturday picnic at the beautiful Painshill Park – a place we had driven past many times but never ventured into.

P1230129P1230132P1230134

We started with the picnic, although there is an excellent cafe which we discovered later. We chose a spot by the lake watched over by some ducks.

P1230136P1230138P1230151

Painshill Park was created by the Honurable Charles Hamiltion who wanted to create something beautiful for the public to visit. He created certain follies along the walk including the Turkish Tent, a Gothic Tower and the Temple of Bacchus which has since become a ruin.

P1230158P1230152P1230162

It’s such a quirky expanse that you never know what you are going to stumble on next. Perfect for budding photographers like my mum.

The crowning glory at Painshill is the man-made crystal grotto. It’s such a curious little thing but is also rather beautiful.

We finished  our day off with a good old cup of tea pleased to have discovered a whole new place which is in London but makes you feel like you are somewhere else.

Summer Sun|FOTD

MAC Painterly|NARS Tinted Moisturiser|Sleek Contour Kit|Clinique High Impact|Maybelline Fit Me!|Carmex|No7 Skin Illuminator.

Summer calls for less make-up on a day to day basis, I don’t know why it just does and these products really haven’t left my face since the sun started shining.

Base

If I wear a base at all I will reach for my NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser mixed with the No7 Skin Illuminator which adds a very subtle glow from within look to your skin. The concealer that I can’t stop reaching for is an old classic the Maybelline Fit Me! it’s a perfect colour match, not to thick but still creamy enough to glide on seamlessly. To contour out those cheekbones I am loving the Sleek Contour Kit its not too muddy on my fair skin and blends easily. The Contour Kit also comes with a highlighter which adds a little more shimmer to the face without letting you look like a glitter ball.

Finishing Touches

MAC Painterly Paint Pot as a base all over the lid, to get rid of any discolouration on the lid and then lashings of mascara, i’m currently using the Clinique High Impact Mascara which adds a lot of length to the lashes. Due to laziness i’ve just been applying Carmex to my lips to keep them moisturised.

Do you wear more or less make-up in the summer?

Glowing Summer Skin

P1230088P1230094

No7 Skin Illuminator|Dermalogica Pure Night.

As soon as the sun starts shining I like to change up my base from a full coverage foundation to a barely there lightweight feeling and recently i’ve ditched foundation completely opting to let moisturiser do its work. As a dry skin girl I like very thick moisturisers packed full of hydration and the Dermalogica Pure Night is super hydrating without that sticky feeling. It really helps bring out the best in my skin and stops me from covering up all the freckles. Once that has all sunk in I liberally apply the No7 Skin Illuminator to add an external ‘inner glow’ again its a very lightweight highlighter and gives a very natural glow without making you look like a disco ball.

What’s your summer skin base?

Highstreet Gems|Top 3 Brands

P1230052

There are so many high street brands out there and they all have plenty to offer but it’s rare to find a brand that I would buy a full face from. Here are my top three high street brands.

Rimmel

Rimmel was the first ever make-up brand I bought from and despite the slightly cheap packaging the products themselves are all fantastic. Very affordable; all products are under £10 and all of a good quality. As a pale girl I love the amazing range of foundation shades and different formulas. Their lipsticks are phenomenal and again come in a large range of formulas and colours something for everyone.

I recommend – Lasting Finish Foundation|Moisture Renew Lipsticks|Stay Matte Powder.

Maybelline

Maybelline is a more recent discovery but I love them mainly for their eye and lip products but their face products are also fantastic. Again a large range of formulas and colours within all there products all packed with amazing pigmentation. A little more expesinve than Rimmel when it comes to bases but still some amazing bargains – Colour Tattoos at under a fiver i’m looking at you.

I recommend – The Eraser Eye Concealer|24 Hour Colour Tattoo|Colour Drama Lip Crayon.

Soap&Glory

It’s no secret that i love this company not only for their adorable packaging but also for their amazing products. It’s not the biggest make-up range out there on the market but it has some real gems and for such a small brand they cater for a large range of skin tones. I love mainly there lip and cheek products.

I recommend – Kick Ass Concealer|Fabulipstick|Glow Job.

What are your favourite high street brands?

Hat – Topshop|Jumper – Hollister|Dungarees – Forever 21|Pumps – H&M.

Now dungarees are not everyones cup of tea, trust me the amount of comments I have got whilst wearing these is crazy but they are some of the comfiest things I have owned. My mum and I decided to go for a spontaneous dinner out and I wanted something comfy that could hide the large amount of food I wanted to consume.

I paired my dungarees with this cute Hollister cropped sweater and my black bowler hat a rather odd combination but it works. The one thing I’ve struggled with is finding shoes that go with dungarees but these nude pumps from H&M are perfect.

How do you style your dungarees?

Why I deleted my YouTube Channel

If you are a subscriber to my YouTube Channel then you may have noticed that it’s disappeared and that’s because today I spontaneously deleted it.

Recently I have really struggled with creating content that I am happy with, I would constantly film videos and then put them into iMovie and hate the way I looked or the way I was speaking and just delete all the footage. After failing to film three times in one day I just decided to get rid of it.

I will still be blogging, I love this little corner of the internet and I feel happy with the content I am creating on here but I just keep beating myself up about the YouTube content.

Hopefully this will allow me to spend more time on my blog
