5 Things To Do In London

London is my home town and if you want to learn all about the groovy hidden spots (that really aren’t that hidden) then Google has the answers but if you’re new to London and just want to hit up some great places then here are 5 that I personally love!

The London Aquarium

Right by the River Thames is the London Aquarium bursting full of exotic fish, plants, reptiles and more. Perfect for taking the kids but also anyone who has a keen for photography – there are some great snaps waiting to be taken. Its not the cheapest trip out in London but there are some great vouchers and codes out there again Google is your friend!

The London Eye

If you are new to London then a trip on The London Eye is the perfect way to view the entire city. Again it’s not the cheapest of attractions but the views are well worth it. Even as a Londoner I still find it breathtaking and would happily take another trip on the eye.

The Natural History Museum

If you are more of a museum lover or need somewhere for a rainy day then The Natural History Museum is the place for you. I often visit when I’m just at a loose end but there are plenty of exhibitions going on all the time as well as the permanent collection – check out The Darwin Center if you want to see what goes on behind the scenes.

NARS Sheer Glow|Review

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation£31.00

Pale girls rejoice NARS are another company who loves us!

The NARS Sheer Glow is not really sheer at all, I would say it was more of a medium to full coverage which means it gets a tick from me. It gives you a flawless base with a satin finish perfect for us dry skin girls out there; it adds moisture to the skin as well as smoothing it out. However the Glow part of the name is true it gives your skin that glowing from within look without looking overly shiny.

I can wear two shades in this range first is Siberia the palest shade in the range it caters for people who have both yellow and pink undertones in their skin neutralising everything but I can also wear Mont Blanc (the second lightest shade) which is far easier to get a hold of on the counters. I love to apply this with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush but this is also a great foundation to apply with your fingers.

If you struggle to find a foundation that matches your skin tone check out NARS!

Graduation Dinner Throwback|OOTD

This was taken back in 2014 and was what I wore for my graduation dinner. I thought I had lost the photos but they resurfaced so I thought hey why not post them.

Nothing beats a black chiffon shirt it can automatically make a casual outfit look smart. I tucked it into this super cute floral skort from New Look; I love a skort all the femininity of a skirt with the security of shorts in case you are as clumsy as I am and tend to flash people if you’re not careful. To lengthen my legs a little I donned my favourite black boots from ASOS, they are a really chunky style so add a slightly ‘rough’ edge to what could be quite a preppy outfit. To finish the outfit I popped on my trusty bowler hat from Topshop and added this awesome dinosaur necklace, revealing a little of my inner geek.

Festive Kitchens at Hampton Court

Hampton Court is best visited in the festive season for one reason; the Christmas kitchens.

Just after Christmas the palace kitchens come alive with cooks re-creating a standard tudor Christmas dinner.

The rest of the castle gets involved and everyone is invited to court. I am a huge history geek so I love getting involved and it’s a perfect way of introducing little ones to the Tudors.

If you’re not completely exhausted then take a little tour of the Georgian half of the palace,it’s not as full on as the Tudor part but equally as beautiful.

Afterwards grab some Tudor style grub from the cafe.

The best part of visiting Hampton Court Palace is the cloaks you can wear; perfect for keeping you toasty whilst walking through the palace and fabulous for swishing!

I had plans for New Years Eve for the first time in four years, I was over excited to say the least. Dinner at the local pub and then on to drinks so I wanted a party outfit that wasn’t overly dressy but still a little bit special. The ASOS Ridley Skinny Jeans are the comfiest jeans ever so are perfect for any dinner parties and paired with the colour pop shoes make your legs look longer than they ever have before.

It may be winter but I whipped out a crop top, I wasn’t showing leg so thought stomach would be second best. This cute textured crop top is from New Look and I love the bandage style. To keep myself a little more covered up I went for this lovely H&M kimono that adds a slight bohemian twist to the outfit and can hide a multitude of sins – starter and a pudding! Accessories wise there is quite a lot going on with the outfit so I just added a trusty bowler hat to finish everything.

What did you wear for NYE?
