Because melting makeup is not the best feeling.
No7 Skin Illuminator|Albus & Flora Mountain Rose|Soap Brows|Illamasqua Cream Pigment.
We have maybe two or three weeks in London where it’s blisteringly hot and if I even put foundation anywhere near my face it instantly melts off. So these are the four products I currently use when the sun comes out to play.
Obviously I SPF my skin first and then with my fingers blend in a pea sized amount of the No7 Skin Illuminator all over my face, it gives an instant glow without making you look like a disco ball, it’s a lightweight product that doesn’t sit on top of the skin and lasts the whole day. When the sun is out unless it’s a special occasion i’m not going to faff around with eye shadow, a slick line of my Illamasqua Solstice Cream Pigment is all I need. They don’t actually make this anymore but I did find a similar product on their website called Precision Ink which would create the same effect. Both products are water proof and sweat proof and I am loving the golden liner look during these summer months. It doesn’t look to ‘blingy’ when there is no eye shadow – if you have discoloration on your lids and want to even that out then you could do a eye shadow base like the Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Androgen or Hollow.
Soap Brows to keep my brows in place – cannot wait till I can get them waxed because as you can see from the photos they are a little out of control. Even in the heat, this product will not budge. I’ve switched to using a make up fixing spray to get the product on the spoolie and it’s really good for helping the longevity of the product. To finish off, my Albus & Flora Mountain Rose lip balm which has an SPF of 30 but also adds a subtle tint your lips. It’s my everyday go to even when the sun isn’t shining.
