The best bits of the month…
April, I wouldn’t be a true Brit if I didn’t start by mentioning the crazy weather we’ve been having in London this month. However despite the wet weather I still managed to cram a lot in! Work is full on currently but I am loving every second, it’s incredibly refreshing to not dread getting up and going to work. The rainy days have forced me to take shelter in my flat and re-watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S from the beginning which I am loving, as well as discovering the intense BBC drama The Assassination of Gianni Versace – it should still be on iplayer so you have plenty of time to catch up. The sunny days have seen me walking home from work with a Mr Whippy and my headphones in listening to the podcast No Such Thing as a Fish, if you like Qi then you’ll love this!
Here are my four April highlights…
Spontaneous date nights. The Mr and I work completely different hours and rotas, often we find it hard to find time to actually be together, despite living together. However in April we were blessed with a few evenings off at the same time, the Mr would pick me up from work and we’d just do whatever we felt like; be it a night in on the sofa with a movie or dinner out at our local.
I may have won the best girlfriend award. I took the Mr on a craft beer cruise to celebrate his birthday (2 months early). Sunshine, beer and cruising through London what could be better! If the idea takes your fancy there is another one coming up in June.
Saw Iliza Shlesinger live. I have loved Iliza’s comedy since stumbling across her first Netflix special and when I heard she was touring in Europe I knew I needed tickets. I have shared her comedy with basically every girl pal of mine and luckily when I finally got to see her live my two best girls came along too.
Jetted off to Italy. The end of April saw me flying off to Italy to explore the beautiful town of Positano. We had amazing weather, I ate more ice-cream than anyone should and sipped on some delightful wines for a full week. I apologise in advance for the amount of holiday spam that will be going on both here on the blog and my social media channels. I just fell in love with Italy!

So what’s happening in May, well for once I actually don’t have any plans, apart from seeing Avengers Infinity War before someone spoils it for me!
What are you looking forward to in May?
