The largest Victorian glasshouse in the world has reopened …
If you’re a long time reader of my blog then you will know that Kew Gardens is one of my favourite places to visit. It’s so beautiful throughout all the seasons and they hold some amazing pop up events. The Temperate House re-opened this weekend and my mum and I got tickets to the opening preview, we were greeted with cocktails, live music plus the chance to explore the entire structure and it’s contents. The whole building is stunning!

Kew’s Temperate House which was initially opened in 1863 houses an important collection of ‘temperate zone’ plants, including some that are rare and theartened in their natural habitat. It is twice the size of the Palm House and is home to plants from Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific Islands.
The Temperate House is now open to the public so if you don’t have any plans for the next bank holiday weekend I highly recommend making a trip; take a picnic and don’t forget your camera.
