Let me tell you about my girl crush.
Goat noises, party goblins and Pinterest. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then you need to get an education. However if you follow me me on Instagram then you might be aware that I got to see the most amazing and hilarious women in comedy Iliza Shlesinger and her new show ‘Elder Millennial’. With 3 Netflix specials under her belt and another one coming soon, she is the ‘hot thing’ on the comedy scene. Not only is Iliza hysterical she is an awesome role model for women and being a strong female, her comedy speaks volumes of truth not only about the good bits of being a woman but also the bad but with a twist of humour. So if you don’t know who she is then I highly recommend checking Netflix right now, you can thank me later.

Comedy shows are a funny event to dress for, technically you are at a theatre because you are seeing a show so I feel like you have to put a little more effort in than normal, however you can’t go full ballgown, it’s like smart casual but more towards the smart side. Iliza is a strong, empowering woman and I took a little bit of inspiration from her with this outfit. It’s a tiny bit out of my comfort zone, the coated jeans are a little tight and show everything but I felt fierce and sassy whilst wearing them and that’s all that matters.
If you get a chance to see Iliza live, do it, but make sure you’ve got waterproof mascara on because you will laugh so hard you cry.
