I went very old school blogger and shopped my stash to try and discover some products I hadn’t used for a while, I was not disappointed. I’ve been wearing this combination for the last month so chances are you’ve already spotted it so I thought it was about time I talked you through the different products.
Seeing as it my eyes that have really been changed up the most I’ll start there. I’ve switched from applying Illamasqua Hollow all over the lid to Illamasqua Liquid Metals Solstice, its a creamy vibrant gold which I find applies best with your fingers. In the crease I blend in Java from the ABH contour palette, a gorgeous warm toned almost orange tinted brown and then in the centre of lid I pat Illamasqua Slink. It’s very simple but I love how autumnal all the colours are.
Then as with every eye look, I take Illamasqua Stealth – the best cream coloured eyeshadow, under my brow bone and add a swipe of liquid liner and lashings of mascara. If I feel my eyebrows are looking a little sparse then I just fill in the gaps with Eylure Brow Pomade.
Base wise you may have noticed that there isn’t a foundation, I’m currently using up a non Cruelty Free base before I purchase another one. However I’m keeping my make up firmly on my face with the Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer, it’s a pink toned primer which is perfect for my skin tone and helps add a glow to your skin. Best applied with your fingers it leaves you with a velvety base for your make up. Concealer wise I’m using a slightly more heavy duty one to cover up the rosy cheeks that the cold weather brings. The ReCover Concealer although high coverage doesn’t feel heavy on my skin and blends effortlessly.
To contour I dip back into the ABH palette but this time go for Fawn which is the perfect cool toned taupe colour for pale skin and then to brighten up my face I little sweep Illamasqua powder blush in Ambition. It’s a blush and highlight in one and looks beautifully natural on my skin. It’s highly pigmented though so don’t get over excited when applying.
