Have I got a a restaurant recommendation for you…
I’m not often lost for words but this tasting menu at Park Row is the hardest event to describe and for all the right reasons. Now I will preface this post with the fact that this is an incredibly pricey experience, I was lucky enough to be invited by my work and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Park Row and The Monarch Theatre have collaborated to subtly bring the DC universe to life through a series of delicious dishes. It really is a full on experience as soon as you walk through the door. After a short tour of Bruce Wayne’s quarters you descend into what you think will be the bat cave but is in fact a sprawling, stunning restaurant hidden beneath the streets of London. You are greeted and escorted into the theatre where a clown will choose your cocktail for you (because that’s totally normal) and then the real magic starts.

Ten courses paired with wine, each inspired by a hero, villain or morally grey character from the DC universe. It’s a full sensory experience and it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen or tasted. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who is thinking going so the above is just a taster of what you’ll be served. As a pescatarian my menu was altered a little but you would never have known – they also cater for vegetarians and vegans. Every plate was so well thought out and bursting full of flavour paired perfectly with wine. It was such a fantastic experience and even if you are not a comic book or DC movie fan it’s still a wonderful evening!
If you are looking to splurge some cash for a special occasion I would highly recommend, I loved my experience so much I’m taking the Mr for dinner in January in the main restaurant.
