Less Than 365 Days Till I Say I Do

We are now less than a year from the big day. Find out how planning is going…

Wow we are now less than a year away from saying ‘I Do’ and it’s been a little while since I updated you on where we are with planning. Check out my first installment of my wedding diary and then the second installment.

  Wedding Planning on a Budget

16th July

Had our engagement photo shoot on Chobham Common, I enjoyed it and the Mr didn’t say that he 100% hated it and I think it settled him a little about the wedding photos. Amelia from Fresh Shoot Studios was wonderful, really easy going and funny. Helped us relax and enjoy it. I can’t wait to see the photos.

27th July

I said yes to the dress.

14th September

Finally remembered to contact an old pianist friend of mine as we really want live music at The Chapel. He is such a talented man and I am so happy that he has said yes! Just got to 100% decide on what I’m walking down the aisle too! Music is such an important thing to both the Mr and I, although our tastes are completely different. So having live music for some of the big day is going to be super special. Engagement photos came back (ages ago I just forgot to write it in here) and I loved them.  I am super happy we got them done but wouldn’t say they were a wedding essential.

3rd October

Registrar is booked and we got the 2:30 slot we wanted. Probably one of the most stressful bits of the wedding planning progress so far as we just had to keep ringing till someone in the office picked up. But forms are all filled out, deposit is paid and now we need to give notice of marriage. I can’t believe it’s one year till we get married! – let me know if you want a blog post about this process in detail!

Casual Winter Outfit London 2019

4th October

My wonderful brother in law is doing our save the dates and I got a little bit crazy on Pinterest sending him ideas and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with.  We are going with a greenery theme for sure.

21st October

Florist has been confirmed. Mum and I went to a gorgeous cut garden that’s about 10 minutes from where we live as I didn’t want any flowers to be imported and we just fell in love with the whole idea. Mum found her on Instagram (@nettlebedflowers) and we popped along to see what was still flowering at this time of year. We went away so excited and then immediately emailed her to book her services. She’s going to provide us with the flowers to decorate the chapel and the pub – mum is going to arrange them and then Sarah is going to do my bouquet and mum is going to do the bridesmaids. Everything is coming together!

24th October

With my dress sorted it was time to look at what my two beautiful bridesmaids would be wearing so I took them with my mum to Wed2Be to try on the range they had there.  I want the girls to wear what they want and to be comfortable so I am letting them pick the style and colour as we basically don’t have a colour scheme which is a bit mental as I always thought I would have Navy & Cream but I feel like it’s a little over done nowadays. We found a style that they both loved and 2 gorgeous colours. A forest green and an aubergine. I am 99% settled on them but I’m not sure if they might be a little too formal. As my dress is not full length (spoiler alert) and these bridesmaid dresses are long I’m not sure whether it would look odd. So I am mulling it over but I just haven’t seen anything else that I like so if anyone has any ideas on not too fancy dresses send them my way.

Wedding Dress Shopping    LeadenHall Market November 2019

These photos were taken on a recent trip to Leadenhall Market in London; it is so gorgeous and I would highly recommend a little trip if you are local to London. It’s like stepping into the Harry Potter universe – coincidentally this was a film location.

Coat – H&M (Ethical/Sustainable Version)|Jumper – Shein (Ethical/Sustainable Version)|Jeans – Marks & Spencer|Shoes – Converse|Bag – House of Fraser (Ethical/Sustainable Version).

This whole outfit is very quickly becoming my winter uniform and I am loving it! It’s comfortable, cosy and chic (or at least I think so).
