Postcards from Hampton Court Garden Festival

Just a little sneak peek…

The beginning of July to my mum and I signals the arrival of the Hampton Court Flower Show although this year it has been renamed the Hampton Court Garden Festival. Mum is an RHS member which means we can go to the ‘members only’ days so we donned our comfy shoes and set off for a stroll in the sunshine. There is still time to get tickets for the weekend so here is a little sneak peak without too many spoilers.

Two of my favourite gardens where the Viking River Cruises Lagom Garden (left) and Stop and Pause Garden (right). There was something so tranquil about both of these gardens and I could actually envisage styling my (currently non existent) garden this way.

Another gorgeous garden is The Naturecraft Garden which had some countryside witch vibes which both mum and I were very into. Again a very tranquil but quite wild space which is an interesting contrast that weirdly works. Pinks and whites with pops of orange and purple were the colours I saw in every garden so if you’re a trend follower in the garden world then that’s what to look out for.

The Spring Watch Garden is an absolute show stopper and I loved the meadow feeling it created without losing the idea of it being a garden.

If you are heading that way this weekend then make sure you go to the Warner Edwards Gin stand and try their delicious new Raspberry gin – not sponsored it’s just bloomin’ delicious and jammy. If you are a soft drink lover then check out the Belvoir stand for a taster of their different cordials. The perfect way to re-hydrate during the day. Speaking of hydration make sure you take a re-usable water station because Thames Water have free re-fill stations by their garden!
