What do you do when the weather is this good? Put on a summer dress and head to Kew Gardens.
SOME OF THE ITEMS IN THIS POST WERE GIFTED TO ME, AS ALWAYS MY OPINIONS ARE MY OWN. I DO NOT USE AFFILIATE LINKS.
Having Kew Gardens on my doorstep is a blessing, it’s beautiful no matter the weather but when you’ve got a Bank Holiday filled with nothing it was my first pick to while away the afternoon with my mum, plus they have a Chihuly glass display throughout the expansive gardens so we decided to check it out.
The Chihuly is dotted all around so make sure you grab a little guide so you don’t miss out on any. Some of them are a little too abstract for my liking but they are quite funky and add a little something extra to the already beautiful gardens especially with the sun bouncing off them.
I go through phases with dresses, sometime I love them sometimes I can’t think of anything worse but when the weather is this good I couldn’t helping putting on this sweet little shift dress that SHEIN kindly gifted me to style. It’s the perfect monochrome dress that you could easily wear to the office with smart flats, dress up with heels for a night out or pair with trainers for a dressed down look. It’s also not horribly short so you’re not constantly pulling it down at the back to make sure your knickers aren’t on show. I did wear a slip skirt underneath as the fabric does stick to your legs a little bit but that’s not essential.
The Chihuly will be at Kew until October so there is plenty of time to see it plus they are doing some of their Kew lates which I am quite tempted to go to see the sculptures illuminated.
