If you don’t own a white t-shirt you need to invest in one!
Now I’ve written before about how versatile and amazing a white t-shirt can be but then only showed you the one way to wear it; it’s not rocket science but I did struggle to think outside of the box when i first started styling and was a little nervous to rock them on their own. Technically mine isn’t a plain white tee, it’s the Bee Stings Tit-Tee from Girl vs Cancer. It’s a boyfriend fit in 100% cotton plus 25% of each sale will be split equally between 4 amazing cancer organisations.

Let’s start with the classic combo of boyfriends jeans and the white-shirt. Super simple, works for most occasions and is a fail safe when you don’t know what to wear. If you’re not a blue jeans kind of a person then this would work with any colour. I love tying this up at the back to make it slightly cropped but it works un-tucked aswell if you prefer a more unfitted look.

A t-shirt isn’t the first thing that springs to mind when someone says maxi skirt, however this works perfectly. This skirt can look a little dressy but a white t-shirt and some converse can make it a little more casual. I have it tied up again at the back but not so it’s cropped but just so it hits the skirt at the right place.

If you love layering like me then a white t-shirt is a must, it’s the perfect base. When I first invested in a white t-shirt I was a little apprehensive about wearing them on their own so using them as a base layer was a great introduction into my wardrobe. I find with layering it works better if it’s tucked half in half out on one side, it gives it a slightly less ‘put together’ look. Also on my petite body if I tuck t-shirts in the whole way it can often shorten the look of my torso.
