I’ve found the perfect date night restaurant for you. 

Now technically speaking I didn’t go here on a date I went with the girls however I can’t wait to take the Mr here for a date night and if you’re already thinking about Valentines Day then this would be the perfect option – if you like Mexican food that is!

Hidden away behind some rather grand doors on St Martins Lane is the heart and soul of modern Mexico; Cantina Laredo.

What’s better than Guacamole ? Fresh Guacamole made at your table! Although there are 8 different guacamoles to choose from the Guacamole Clásico is made fresh at your table and seasoned to your personal taste and served with warm corn tortillas chips.

We went sharing mode just so we could try as much as possible. I would highly recommend the Tostadas de Canrejo: Crab, pico de gallo, crisp tortillas with chipotle mayonnaise and the Camarones Rebozados; Tiger prawn tempura with chile and lime. If you’re looking for a veggie option the Brochetas de Camote y Betabel Rostizado: Sweet potato and beetroot skewers with green habanero mayonnaise are delicious.

Definitely check out the cocktail list the Keep Calm and Drink a Mojito is a favourite of mine and if you’ve got space order a couple of portions of  Churros de Canela y Azucar con dips de Chile Chocolate y Fresas con Crema: Cinnamon and sugar churros, chile chocolate and strawberry cream. The perfect way to finish a delicious dinner.

They have space for reservations and walk ins. So make plans or be spontaneous and enjoy some of the best Mexican food London has to offer.
