Let the mini break continue.
With one more day before I went back to work I jumped on a train with the mother to visit the big sister in Bath.
Tourist hat on tight we started off with a trip to The Roman Baths.
‘The Baths, are at the heart of the City and consists of the preserved remains of one of the greatest religious spas of the ancient world. The city’s unique thermal springs rise in the site and the Baths still flow with natural hot water.’ – romanbaths.co.uk
Coat – Jack Wills (similar)|Jeans – ASOS|Scarf- Hush|Sunglasses – Max&Co c/o Specsavers (similar).
The hot water still flows through the building today.
Next stop, a stones throw away from The Roman Baths is Bath Abbey, it’s certainly worth a quick wander round, the stained glass windows are stunning.
The roof is pretty spectacular as well!
Stomachs rumbling we hurried off to the famous Sally Lunn’s, for a Sally Lunn Bun and a cup of tea.
A Sally Lunn Bun if you’ve never had one is a semi-sweet bread which can be topped with either sweet or savoury; I would highly suggest starting with a Chicken Caesar and following that up with a Cinnamon butter!
Or if you’d prefer they also have a grand selection of cakes!
Full of good food, as I often am after visiting somewhere new we set off back to London.
Any recommendations for when I go back?
