When the moons hits the sky like a big pizza slice that’s amore.
The Mr and I both have very different schedules, we can go weeks without having a day off together so we know it’s important to squeeze in little date nights or afternoon trips and if it’s local that’s even better as it cuts down on travel time meaning more time actually doing something together!
On a recent Sunday we decided to pop down to Ruben’s Bakehouse for some pizza, it was pouring with rain so we were glad to warm up in the cosy pizzeria and bakehouse. Ruben’s just does pizza and boy does it do it well – they do do starters and desserts but there main thing is pizza!
The Mr went for the Rock n Roll Pizza, creamy mozzarella and tomato sauce on a beautiful hand stretched base with spicy sausage, onions, gorgonzola & crushed chillies.
I chose the Jesper, they switched up the traditional mozzarella for marscarpone and added pancetta and rocket leaves with a twist of black pepper to finish. Literally one of the best pizzas i’ve ever eaten!
Best attacked with a knife and fork as hands can get a little messy which I quickly discovered after this photo was taken.
If you are in the Richmond area definitely pop into either of their branches and grab a coffee afterwards you won’t regret it!
