This year I decided to have a slightly more relaxed New Years Eve spending it at home with the family rather than a night out on the town.
My mum and I kick started the day with a walk by the river and a strong coffee.

Back at the house it was all stations go to get ready for the evening.
Gin & Tonics were made and consumed, rather speedily along with a delicious pie. Stomachs full and slightly merry it was time for a good old fashioned board game.
If you’ve never played Catan, you need to do although I warn you that there may be a few domestics whilst playing, nothing a few sparklers won’t distract from though.
We popped open a bottle of fizz and turned on Jools Holland to get ready to countdown to the beginning of the New Year.
