Glaven Cottage

Norfolk written in the sand

Norfolk is a family tradition and this year I got to share the tradition with the Mr.

We sped down the motorway late morning on Thursday arriving in our beloved Blakeney – no we haven’t got bored of it yet!

Glaven Cottage BlakeneyThis year we stayed in Glaven Cottage and after a slight mix up, our beds were made and the living room was tidy thanks to a very efficient housekeeping team.

After unpacking we went for a little stroll along the quay.

I love this time of year when you can wear lot’s of layers without shoving a coat over the top.

Cosy Fireside

The light fading we scurried back up the high street and into our little cottage, stoking the fire and settling down for the evening. A calm and cosy introduction to the beautiful Norfolk for the Mr.
