Blue Jeans White Shirt Walked Into The Room You Know You Made My Eyes Burnt

I am ready for it to be spring now in the UK and this will be something I will be wearing on a regular basis when the sun does start to shine. It’s a great smart causal outfit with the relaxed jeans and smart heels paired with my favourite bowler hat which will definitely be making a proper come back once the wind dies down. As the outfit is so simple you could definitely go to town with accessories but I kept with the simplicity theme wearing my silver Tiffany pendant along with my usual Accessorize rings.

ASOS Roxy Boots

ASOS ROXY Chelsea Ankle Boots£35.00

I am a shoe addict and black chelsea boots are my weakness, I have had these babies since Christmas and seeing as I have finally broken them in I thought it was time to introduce you to them. They are a little chunkier than my others – diversity is key when you have an obsession and I love the platform. The other key selling point of these was the elasticated back of the boots, again its different to others on the market but also makes these much more comfortable which is a plus if you want to wear them for a long period of time.

Anyone else got a black chelsea boot obsession?

Sleek Corrector&Concealer Palette|Review

P1210286

Sleek Corrector&Concealer Palette in Shade 1£7.99

I love Sleek products so when I saw a product I hadn’t tried before I picked it up excited to see what it would be like. Sadly I was a little disappointed in this conceal trio.

The palette comes with a corrector; a very light and very pink corrector which is supposed to hide discolouration as well as brighten under the eyes. I wouldn’t put this under my eyes as it turned white on my skin and looked very unnatural. Next is the concealer, this I can use under my eyes and on any blemishes but the very wet formula puts me off. Then the setting powder which is nothing special but I can’t really fault it.

The main disappointment is the formula, it’s super wet in the palette but once on the skin its stiff and hard to blend in.

Has anyone else had this difficulty or is it just me?

Disney on Ice

P1200697

When K and I aren’t abroad on one of our Disney adventures (read about our most recent adventure here) we like to get our Disney fix closer to home and as a Christmas present she took me to see Disney on Ice at the O2.

15907_10155077653900220_6376196748612152478_n

It started with a trip to Five Guys; my first trip and I was impressed. Mainly by the huge choice of Fanta flavours I recommend Peach or Strawberry accompanied by a Little Cheeseburger.

P1200477P1200481P1200479

The show was fantastic, the lifts and tricks never fail to amaze me and the added Disney magic just added to the overall experience.

P1200570

Mickey and his friends present the show; how they skate in those huge costumes I do not know!

P1200547P1200651P1200424P1200504

The show was full of characters including some of the lesser celebrated characters like The Incredibles and Pocahontas.

Disney on Ice happens throughout the year and with different shows each tour I would highly recommend whether young or old to get yourself a ticket and see the magic for yourself.

Hypnotic Red|Review

L’Oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish in Hypnotic Red£4.99

I don’t normally blog about nail polish but these Colour Riche polishes are amazing. They are by no means new to the market but at only £4.99 a pop they are worth getting excited over. The colour Hypnotic Red is a gorgeous dark cranberry red and the finish is super shiny giving the appearance of gel nails. The thick but not overly gloopy formula is the real selling point, fast drying and only one coat needed so great if you are in a rush but two coats gives a slightly stronger colour.

If you haven’t picked one of these up then why not!

The Woodman

Good food and good friends are all you need to beat the January blues. I recently met up with a few of my old dancing pals something that seems to happen only once in a blue moon (read about our last meet up here.)

We headed to a pub in Battersea called The Woodman with the promise of good hearty winter warmers and we were not disappointed.

P1200846

The menu is full of british food but with a twist on the traditional pub grub – No pie and chips here.

IMG_20150111_163007IMG_20150111_163151

After chit chatting over a few glasses of wine we ordered and for once I knew exactly what I wanted. K and I are currently in the habit of acting like a married couple and sharing food is one of those things that most married couples do.

P1200847P1200848

I chose the Winter warming Venison cobbler with cheese scones paired with creamy mustard mash and seasonal veg and K went for the Pan fried pheasant breast with smoked bacon lardons, roast onions, mushrooms and gratin potatoes.

Both were a fantastic combination of flavours and textures, my favourite was the venison I’ve never had cheese scones with my meal and it was an added bonus perfecting for mopping up all the gravy. The meat from both dishes was full of flavour and melted in the mouth.

P1200853P1200854

Next up was pudding and although I didn’t want to part ways with the other half of my Sticky toffee pudding I did for a half of K’s Chocolate mocha tart and I am so happy I did. The desserts are well worth leaving room for, I would highly recommend the Sticky toffee it is to die for!

If you happen to be in the Battersea area definitely pop in for a bite to eat, I will be heading back to try one of the burgers they looked fantastic! Make sure you take some friends with you to enjoy the grub!

Project Pan #1

P1210023P1210016

I have way too much make-up then is healthy so this new year I have decided its time for operation ‘Hit Pan’ to come into effect before I am buried alive in blushers, concealers and any other make-up items. I have selected eight products to use up as fast as possible, some I will repurchase they just need using up before they go off and others I will be glad to see the back of.

MAC Face&Body in C1

I really do love this foundation its great for super lightweight coverage but also can be built up to a medium coverage perfect for someone who doesn’t want to have multiple foundations but wants different coverages. However MAC doesn’t really cater for my cool toned pale skin, C1 is far to yellow based for my skin – I am going to try N1 just in case it suits me as I do love it. Not the cheapest of foundations coming in at £21.50 but its well worth it if you can find your skin shade.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory

I have a love hate relationship with this concealer, perfectly lightweight in the summer but not heavy enough in the winter and it doesn’t have a long enough wear time for my liking. I probably won’t repurchase this concealer but if you prefer a lightweight concealer which helps brighten under your eyes then this is the one for me and at a bargain of a price – £5.49

Glossybox Blusher

This is a beautiful blusher for us pale skin girls as it’s a lovely dolly pink however as its limited edition I sort of just want to use it up and get it out of my collection. It is a little powdery however blends beautifully and has great pigmentation.

Bourjois Bronzing Powder

I have had this for far to long in my collection I am slightly worried its out of date and I am getting rather bored of it. It is a great bronzer and for slightly darker skin tones would be perfect for contouring however for a paler skin tone a light hand makes it wearable but I have found better products since I purchased it.

Bodyshop Lightening Touch

This is a product I can’t wait to see the back of. A bad version of the Benefit High Beam, it is designed like the Touch Eclat but the product gets all gunked up at the end. It is also super shimmery making you look slightly like a glitter ball with the product being hard to blend.

Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes

I love this palette and I already have a fresh one lined up waiting to step in when I finish this one. The Boin-ing concealer is impossible to use as its orange on me but the shadows are so buttery and full of pigmentation that I will have no trouble using them up. Easy to blend they are an easy starter kit for people just getting into make-up. The only downside to this product is the high price tag – £25.50

Seventeen Maximum Volume Mascara

This is another product that I can’t wait to get rid of. I love big in your face lashes and this barely tints your lashes. If you prefer a more subdued look then this mascara might be for you but it just doesn’t cut it for me.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nottinghill Nude

I do like this lipstick but its the old formulation so isn’t as creamy as the new versions, the shade is a little to pale for a nude so i’m not 100% sure if I will repurchase but I love Rimmel lipsticks they are super affordable – £6.49, the formula is super creamy (even creamier in the new formula) and the lasting power and pigmentation is fantastic.

Anyone else doing project pan?

Lazy Sundays|OOTD

 Mickey Mouse Shirt – H&M|Cropped Jumper – H&M|Jeans – New Look|Shoes – Converse|Rucksack – DKNY|Sunglasses – H&M

You know its a lazy Sunday when your hair is in a high bun and the boyfriend jeans are one. I love this relaxed preppy look for days off. The star of the show is actually hiding underneath my jumper and its this cute cropped shirt from H&M which is covered in Mickey Mouse faces, I love Disney but find wearing Disney clothing pretty hard to keep ‘sophisticated’ and this cute shirt is the perfect way to have that hint of Disney in my wardrobe. Boyfriend style jeans are not the most flattering style on my legs but they are so comfy that I will let that go. Perfect shoes for a Sunday are Converse – the best shoe for everyday! and then for all my junk my DKNY Rucksack, how this is not covered in dirt yet I do not know!

What is your go to lazy Sunday outfit?

Naked Beige|Review

P1210012P1210033

Soap&Glory Super-Colour FabuLIPSTICK in Naked Beige£9.00

It may be a new year but I am still loving the 90’s nude lip trend and this beauty from Soap&Glory is my new favourite. It’s definitely a warmer beige than some of them on the market with a distinct red undertone. The formula is similar to MAC Cremesheen very moisturising and creamy due to the shea butter and vitamin E in the formula but with a more Satin finish. Perfect for people who want moisture without high-shine. The pigmentation is also amazing and with a pretty long wear time (around 3 hours) it’s the perfect everyday lip.

I love pairing this with a bronze smokey eye or lashes of mascara with a naked lid.

Have you tried this lipstick which shade is your favourite?
