What I’m Looking Forward to in 2021

Has anyone else seen the Tik Tok that talks about how we’re not going to get over excited about 2021 we’re just going to walk in and see how it goes?

Normally at this time of the year I’d be looking back on all my achievements and talking about the goals that I had achieved before setting myself new goals for 2021 but I feel that people don’t really need that content this year, as for quite a few of us just getting out of bed everyday was an achievement. So instead of looking back on the year I want to just look forward about things I am excited about for the new year.

We will be welcoming a new member of the family into the world and I cannot wait to be an aunt. Any recommendations for ethical baby and mum gifts would be much appreciated! I have two 10k’s in the diary already and I can’t wait to get back into running; my fitness really took a step back during the lock-downs and I cancelled my gym membership as I didn’t feel safe in that environment so I am putting together a fitness plan for the new year and I’m excited to get started. I am also eagerly awaiting for Parkrun to start back up again.

Hosting dinner parties; this one is an obvious one and I’m sure everyone is looking forward to being able to have people actually in their homes. Exploring more of the UK. We had a few UK holidays booked for the beginning of 2021 which we have obviously had to cancel but I am hoping that we can re-book these for late spring summer and start exploring our own doorstep again. I don’t think we’ll be getting on a plane until 2022! Renewing our vows on our 1 year wedding anniversary and having all the people who couldn’t come to our wedding at our vow renewal and party into the night, and be able to hug people in celebration.

What are you looking forward to in the new year?
