A hidden gem in the hustle and bustle of london.
I love London, a fact that frequent readers of the blog already know. The eclectic history that is right under our noses just fascinates me and Leighton House is the perfect example of this. Hidden in the hustle and bustle of Kensington inside a rather unassuming building is the most beautiful palace of art.
Leighton House Museum is the former home of the Victorian artist Frederic, Lord Leighton and it contains a fascinating collection of paintings and sculpture by Leighton and his contemporaries. There is no photography allowed inside but the entire house is like walking into a dream world full to the brim with beautiful gems.

It’s one of Londons best kept secrets but I’m sure they won’t mind I’ve told you all about it, it really is a place that needs to be seen because describing it just won’t do it justice. Why not combine it with a spot of shopping on Kensington High Street or a trip to The Design Museum which is just down the road!
