Discovering my own home town.
Having lived in London my whole life it surprised the Mr that I had never been to Borough Market so with a free friday we hopped on a train into town in search for some good food and to stock up the cupboards.
Everyone who has been to Borough Market will know the Chegworth Valley stall and right now in winter they are doing hot spiced apple, perfect for warming your hands whilst you shop around. I would also really recommend their apple juices particularly the one blended with strawberry!
If you’re more of a coffee person then definitely head over to the Colombian Coffee Company, amazing cappuccinos to start your day.
Borough Market is full to the brim with exciting stalls with something for everyone, an amazing place to pick up some lunch to go.
The Mr went for a Gourmet Goat Greek Kofta; fluffy pitta bread wrapped around juicy goat kofta with a healthy dollop of tatziki and chilli salsa.
I slightly panicked when it came to ordering because I wanted everything so I didn’t actually take note of what stand I bought this phenomenal roast lamb wrap with tatziki, onions and salad but it was delicious so if you can find it definitely get one to munch on.
Any meat lovers in your life take them to this Exquisite Deli, they will love you forever!
It wouldn’t be a trip to Borough Market without finding, drooling, buying and then eating the BreadAhead Bakery doughnuts. Honeycomb and Salted Caramel is the best; although the Mr enjoyed his Almond and Praline one too.
We all know i’m a sucker for a Macaroon or 5 and I would pretty much live off them if I could so I couldn’t help but pick up a box from Comptoir Gourmand. Great flavours both traditional and out of the box.
Now that i’ve discovered Borough Market I can’t wait to go back. I want to try food from every single stall!
