Need a taste of Italy but can’t make it there, catch a ride up to Clapham and book a table at Osteria Antica Bologna.
It was re-union time again; although the amount of times the girls and I from dance re-unite it was more just another catch up. It fell to me as always to find us somewhere to eat and true to habit I turned to Clapham to find a good nook for us to tuck ourselves away and chat the night away, I was not disappointed when Osteria Antica Bologna popped up.
Nestled amongst other eateries on the Northcote Road, Osteria Antica Bologna brings the taste of Italy to London.
Kick start the meal with a Bellini or a Gin & Tonic you won’t regret it I promise.
We all went straight for the main course and I couldn’t resist getting Bistecca di manzi con rucola e parmigano; or Chargrilled sirloin beef steak with rocket and parmesan salad. I ordered mine with a side of spinach and some fries.
Drowning gracefully in butter and perfectly seasoned this steak required no extra sauce, a much lighter meal than my recent steak encounter at Buenos Aires but equally as good. If you’re not a steak fan then I can vouch that the girls also enjoyed Pumpkin Gnocci with Gorgonzola and Chickpea Fritters.
If you’ve still got room, definitely indulge in one of their desserts especially if they still have the Apple and Dulce de leche cake or the Pear and Chocolate Tart.
I would book ahead as even on a Tuesday it was full! The perfect place to take friends, family or that someone special.
