Inside my Bridal Kit

A peek inside my bridal make-up kit.

For those of my readers who didn’t already know I work as a wedding make-up artist and hair stylist on the weekends and around my normal job. I love having a little nose in other artists kitbags to see what they are using so I thought I would share with y’all what I have in mine – well some of it at least.

Orba Vitamin E Moisturiser|Illamasqua Cream Concealer|NARS Sheer Glow|Illamasqua Cream Foundation|New Cid Foundation Primer|Kryolan Fixing Spray|Recover Concealer.

A good base as with all make-up looks is the most important part, and with the amount of photos taken at a wedding you want your skin to look glowing and for it too last all day. Skincare is a very personal thing so with most brides we use their own products but I always have my Orba Vitamin E on hand and its great for bridesmaids and wedding guests who need some added moisture in the skin.  I’m still not sure about primers but it’s better to be safe than sorry and I am currently using the New Cid Primer to help the longevity of the make-up.

1I love using NARS Sheer Glow on my clients because it has great coverage without looking cakey and they have a great range of shades; if the bride wants a slightly lighter coverage then the Illamasqua Cream Foundation is a good choice. I adore Recover concealers, they are full coverage but melt into the skin perfectly and our great for covering dark circles, blemishes and redness. If the client doesn’t need full coverage then I opt for the Illamasqua Cream Concealer because it’s a little more creamy and light weight. To finish everything off I like to give a quick spritz of the Kryolan Fixing Spray as an added insurance.

Ben Nye Blush Palette|FACE Bolum|Kryolan Cake Liner|Illamasqua Blusher Palette|Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette|New Cid I-Colour|T.LeClerc Mascara Multiplicateur|FACE Lipstick|New Cid I-Pout|Eylure Individual Lashes.

Every bride wants a different look so I always take a number of eyeshadow palettes to the trial and then only bring the ones I need for the big day; however I always have these products on me ready to go. To sculpt the face my go to is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette, it’s not muddy on the face and blends beautifully; I also use this on the eyes. Then to add some colour I always have my trusty Ben Nye Blush Palette, beautiful shades with something for every skin tone. I also have a little Illamasqua Blush Palette which i’m testing out.

FACE Stockhlam Bolum is a great dupe for MAC Painterly Paint Pot which I love using as a base and the New Cid I-Colour is a great shimmer for highlighting the inner eye. Most of my clients use brown eyeliner for their wedding look as it creates a softer look and I only use Kryolan Cake Liner, it’s water activated, glides on smoothly and doesn’t smudge until you remove it! Lashes, I always have Eylure individuals in my kit they are perfect for creating a dramatic or subtle look, something to suit everyone.

I am always changing mascara’s or I use the brides personal favourite but currently I really love the T.LeClerc Mascara Multiplicateur, it creates volume and length and doesn’t flake throughout the day. Finally lipstick, again this is quite a personal thing some brides have a shade they already love but I tend to keep a few really neutral shades in my kit for anyone who is un-decided including FACE Stolkham and New Cid.

And there you have it a little look into my bridal kit! The best thing is that they are all cruelty free.
