Getting to show someone you love one of your favourite cities is truly something special.
We arrived late afternoon in Paris and checked into our hotel; Ibis Style it’s directly opposite the Gare du Nord and another great budget hotel.
After a shower and a very quick cat nap we set off into the early evening in search for the pièce de résistance. The Eiffel Tower.
They had started to light it as we climbed the stairs, i’ve never seen it at night and it’s even more impressive than during the day.
Paris is beautiful when you’re strolling through the streets but it’s stunning when you get a birds eye view.
Leaving this beauty behind we went off in search of some food, I left this decision to the Mr and he came up trumps after a quick Google.
Restaurant Le Beaujolais, is a few minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower and is a friendly place full of tourists and locals all enjoying the good food and fabulous wine.
I highly recommend the French Onion Soup and the Sirloin Steak paired with a glass of Saint Emilion.
Night had fallen as we strolled back, the last few tourists were climbing the tower whilst others sat at her feet staring up in awe. We jumped in a taxi and sped through the streets back to our comfy bed.
Paris doesn’t have to be an expensive holiday book far enough in advance, take a budget hotel and if your 25 and under and an EU citizen lot’s of the big attractions are free.
