With still a few days of holiday left before returning to work I made sure to spend a day with the other special person in my life, my mum.
We trotted up into town to go see a new exhibition at the Royal Academy; Painting the Modern Garden Monet to Matisse.
Multiple rooms filled with some of the most beautiful botanical paintings from all over the world, regardless of whether you are a green fingered gardener or just enjoy a fresh bouquet of flowers this exhibition is gorgeous.
We walked back to Waterloo stopping in one of my all time favourites places Trafalgar Square; there is just something so iconic about it.
There are also always awesome street performers.
Including this guy, showing his true scot self by not wearing a jumper in the freezing temperatures.

I must be mad wearing a skirt in this cold weather but I am loving this style and paired with my oxblood over the knee boots and a good thick coat you barely feel chilly winds. There is something rather parisian in this look but with a London twist.
Are you braving the chilly UK winds ?
You don’t want to know what else that Scot isn’t wearing…don’t mind the cold, so long as it’s clear. At least my leather soles can come out.
