Happy New Year!
It’s time to look back at my Top 10 products of 2015.
Winning for skin care was the N07 Beautiful Skin Hydration Mask which I was constantly gushing about and how amazingly smooth it makes the skin. If i’ve had a few late nights or one too many gin and tonics this is a real skin saviour! Moving onto base I would be lost without the Nars Tinted Moisturiser; its the perfect everyday coverage, has SPF 30 and has great lasting power. Concealer has to be the Maybelline The Eraser Eye; full coverage, easy to blend and affordable however Maybelline sells products in China so aren’t cruelty free so I won’t be repurchasing this in the New Year.
Contouring was a big trend of 2015 and I definitely enjoyed giving my cheekbones a little more definition. Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow is a perfect cream based option and is a taupe colour so totally works for us paler skinned girls, for a more budget friendly the Sleek Contour Palette is great and comes with a champagne highlighter as well both are easy to blend and don’t give a muddy appearance to the face.
2015 saw me go through so many phases with my eye make-up from really heavy to barley there but throughout the year I loved the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige, a gorgeous matte brown perfect as a wash across the eyes or as a primer for a smokey eye, sadly I won’t be repurchasing this in the New Year. I continued to love false lashes my favourites being the Fleur de Force collaboration with Eylure particularly the Fleur Loves style, a three quarter lash which winged out to create a cat eye look. Again I dabbled in liner my favourite being Soap&Glory Supercat Liner, it’s easy to use, really pigmented and the lasting power is amazing!
Last but not least lips and I have two favourites, I stopped wearing lipstick on a daily basis and instead would swipe No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Petal for a subtle but moisturising lip colour and then when nights out occurred I was lining and filling in my whole lip with MAC Lip Liner in Whirl its long wearing and a gorgeous neutral which goes with any make-up or outfit; again sadly MAC sells in China and therefore I won’t be able to buy it in the New Year.
I can’t wait to start trying new products in 2016
