A short and sweet post to finish the adventure.
We packed up the car, said goodbye to the lovely Gillie Cottage before heading off back to London.
We decided to make a pit stop at Oxburgh Hall to break the journey and it happened to be National Apple Day.
Celebrating apples seems a rather odd thing to do but we embraced the whole idea and loved it.
There are so many different types of apple, some for eating, others for cooking and some are ‘duo’ purpose apples; in the grounds of Oxburgh Hall they had a variety of these to taste as well as some other fun activities.
Fresh apple juice is absolute heaven.
After tasting all the apples we could get our hands on and purchasing some for the journey home we turned our attention to the centre piece, the hall itself.
Absolutely breathtaking both inside and out, you could spend hours exploring it.
Sadly we had to get back in the car and head back to London.
Have you ever been to Norfolk?
