MAC Products Worth the Hype
Satin Lipstick in M.A.C Red|Fluidline Liner in Blacktrack|Paintpot in Painterly.
When I first started blogging MAC was such a huge trend; if you weren’t talking about MAC then you weren’t worth reading however the hype seems to have died down a bit and now the real star products are shining through. I’m not the hugest fan of MAC mainly due to its price and lack of pale foundation shades but I have three products that I believe are worth the hype and I use them in both my own personal collection and also in my professional kit.
Summer Sun|FOTD
MAC Painterly|NARS Tinted Moisturiser|Sleek Contour Kit|Clinique High Impact|Maybelline Fit Me!|Carmex|No7 Skin Illuminator.
Summer calls for less make-up on a day to day basis, I don’t know why it just does and these products really haven’t left my face since the sun started shining.
Base
If I wear a base at all I will reach for my NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser mixed with the No7 Skin Illuminator which adds a very subtle glow from within look to your skin. The concealer that I can’t stop reaching for is an old classic the Maybelline Fit Me! it’s a perfect colour match, not to thick but still creamy enough to glide on seamlessly. To contour out those cheekbones I am loving the Sleek Contour Kit its not too muddy on my fair skin and blends easily. The Contour Kit also comes with a highlighter which adds a little more shimmer to the face without letting you look like a glitter ball.
Finishing Touches
MAC Painterly Paint Pot as a base all over the lid, to get rid of any discolouration on the lid and then lashings of mascara, i’m currently using the Clinique High Impact Mascara which adds a lot of length to the lashes. Due to laziness i’ve just been applying Carmex to my lips to keep them moisturised.
Do you wear more or less make-up in the summer?

M.A.C Vex|Review
M.A.C Shadow in Vex – £13.00
As you may know I am not the biggest fan of M.A.C eye shadows I don’t like the price tag and there are so many dupes out there some which are better! However one shadow that I absolutely love mainly due to its beautiful duo chrome is Vex. It doesn’t photograph well but its a gorgeous grey based shadow with silver, green and pink running through it.
Not so stunning on its own but over a matte base shadow it creates instant glamour. I love pairing this with Maybelline Permanent Taupe. If you are a slightly ‘lazy’ make-up applier – read as you have better things to do with your time. Then this is a great swipe and go shadow.

M.A.C Blacktrack|Review
MAC Fluidline Gel Liner in Blacktrack – £15.50
I love gel liner, its got a much better lasting power than liquid or felt tip and its so much easier to apply but the high street offerings would just dry out so quickly! I was given the Fluidline in Blacktrack as part of my make-up kit and instantly fell in love and had to purchase one for myself.
It applies like a dream, gliding on to the lid with amazing pigmentation. Blackest black with a slight glossy finish. I’ve had this for at least five months and it hasn’t dried out one bit so would be perfect for someone who doesn’t always use gel liner. It’s also waterproof and smudge proof!

The Perfect Lip Duo
M.A.C Whirl|Soap&Glory Naked Beige.
I never used to be a lip liner girl but I fell in love with Whirl by M.A.C and now I can’t stop using it! M.A.C liners are so creamy and don’t drag on the lips so it makes lining the lips really simple. Sometimes I just fill my entire lips in with Whirl but if I want something a bit glossier and moisturising then I love using Soap&Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick in Naked Beige.Packed full of Vitamin E and Shea Butter they make your lips feel amazing with the added plus of great pigmentation and a pretty good wear-ability. Naked Beige is a lovely pink toned nude with just a hint of brown making it the perfect 90’s nude – the above photo is making it look pinker than it is!
The perfect lip duo.
