‘Give me a museum and i’ll fill it.’ – Pablo Picasso.
I studied Picasso in college so when my mum asked if i’d like to see the new Picasso Portraits exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery I jumped at the chance.
A gloomy London presented itself to us as we whizzed in on the train, the perfect excuse to wile away a morning in a museum.
Picasso is well known for his cubism work but I was amazed at how his style changed throughout his long and creative life. Even if you’re not an art enthusiast the exhibition is fantastic and his pieces paint a picture of such an exotic life full of different people and influencers. It’s almost like an interview with the painter himself.
We exited, blinking into the bright sunshine which had arrived just in time for an afternoon of mooching around town.
Skirt – H&M|Shoes – H&M|Jacket – Topshop (similar)|Backpack – Aldo via ASOS|Glasses – Specsavers|Scarf – HUSH
No I still haven’t got bored of my rust coloured skirt from H&M, it’s just the perfect autumn item. Pairing it with flats because art galleries, heels and me just don’t go together. I’m not ready to embrace the full coat yet so i’m still loving my jackets and my Topshop fleece lined jacket is perfect for layering up.
If you get a chance to go the Picasso Portraits exhibition go for it, it’s fantastic!
