If you go down to the woods today your sure for a big surprise…well if you go to Hampton Court Palace your sure there is a flower show happening.
Well there would have been if I had got myself together and got this blogpost up on time however my job and Pokemon Go got in the way so I shall leave this here as inspiration for you visiting next year!
The mother and I are making the Hampton Court Flower Show a little tradition and seeing as she is a RHS member we got to preview all the gardens before it opened to the general public.
There were some absolutely amazing gardens filled with imaginative and political messages.
And then there were some well let’s say interesting interpretations of what a garden is!
Not only are there gardens to get inspiration from but lovely stalls to buy things for your garden. I was especially tempted by these Robert James Alice in Wonderland sculptures.
My favourite gardens were the ones based around small gardens, the family home only has a tiny one so it’s lovely to get ideas of how we could transform it.
More interesting gardens are dotted in between traditional gardens, meaning there is something for everyone.

One of my favourite parts of the flower show is the scarecrows that the local schools make, this years theme was space and there were some amazing creations.
Tired and with a shopping trolley full of flowers for the garden we set off home already excited for next year!
