I am a huge museum and gallery lover, as I am sure some of you will know and I love finding new places to go and explore. Mum and I went into town recently to scout out two new places starting off at the House of Illustration.
Right by Kings Cross the House of Illustration is well just that; a house (building turned into a gallery) used to showcase illustrators. We specifically went up to see the E.H Sheppard:An Illustrator’s War exhibition which showcases Sheppards work during WWI which was well before his famous Winnie the Pooh drawings.
15 minute walk away is The British Library which as well as being a working library holds exhibitions on various things.
We stopped in their cafe for a spot of lunch before heading for The Sir John Ritblat Treasures of the British Library Gallery. This gallery holds items like Shakespeare’s first folio, The Magna Carter as well as holy books, scientists draft books and more. Hard to not be impressed – plus it’s free.
Jeans – ASOS|Shoes – Topshop (similar)|Coat – H&M (similar)|Bag – Accessorize (similar)|Scarf – Handmade.
Kings Cross is normally just a pit stop on the way to another destination but it was awesome to leave the station and check out some great places in the actual surrounding areas.
Any museums or galleries you think I would love?
Peace Out and Pixie Dust XO
