After a good nights rest we were raring to go for our 2nd day in Disneyland Paris.

P1220769P1220770

We stayed at the Santa Fe Hotel which is in the lower price bracket but the rooms and facilities were still top quality. I am never really super bothered about hotel rooms because I never spend that much time in them.

We started the day off with some character spotting before moving onto some more rides.

Before hurrying over to the Studios for a quick look around.

P1220835P1220833P1220826

I prefer the main park over the studios but it does have more of the bigger roller coasters if thats what you are into.

P1220842P1220843P1220844

After meeting Mickey we thought it was only fair to pop back to the park and see Minnie as well, before grabbing a delicious passionfruit ice tea and heading back to London.

I’m already missing my second home and can’t wait to go back!

The bank holiday weekend seemed like the perfect opportunity for my sister and I to hop over to Disneyland for a few days. After a few hours on the train and quickly checking into our hotel – more on that later – we got stuck into the meet and greets starting with Thumper and Miss Bunny.

P1220426P1220441P1220443

After much hugging we managed to catch the end of Goofy’s Garden Party Parade where all the characters were out in their spring outfits, before hitting up some of the rides.

P1220456P1220506P1220501

I love Disneyland at spring time (check out my photos from last years visit) the extra attention to details make everything even more magical.

P1220463P1220471P1220470

Before I knew it, it was time for the Disney Magic on Parade. Yes I did stake my place at the front half an hour before it started and yes I did squeal throughout.

P1220541P1220555P1220581P1220547P1220566P1220576P1220551P1220598P1220618

We had worked up quite an appetite so stopped off at The Lucky Nugget a childhood favourite to refuel on some good old fashioned burgers and ice cream – calories don’t exist at Disneyland.

P1220648P1220646P1220630P1220647

After some (read a lot) of shopping it was time to get a seat for the grand finale. Disney Dreams, which has to be on the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

P1220699P1220717P1220730P1220757

Very tired we returned back to our hotel excited for the next day!

Check back tomorrow for day 2

Disney on Ice

P1200697

When K and I aren’t abroad on one of our Disney adventures (read about our most recent adventure here) we like to get our Disney fix closer to home and as a Christmas present she took me to see Disney on Ice at the O2.

15907_10155077653900220_6376196748612152478_n

It started with a trip to Five Guys; my first trip and I was impressed. Mainly by the huge choice of Fanta flavours I recommend Peach or Strawberry accompanied by a Little Cheeseburger.

P1200477P1200481P1200479

The show was fantastic, the lifts and tricks never fail to amaze me and the added Disney magic just added to the overall experience.

P1200570

Mickey and his friends present the show; how they skate in those huge costumes I do not know!

P1200547P1200651P1200424P1200504

The show was full of characters including some of the lesser celebrated characters like The Incredibles and Pocahontas.

P1200669P1200677P1200667

Disney on Ice happens throughout the year and with different shows each tour I would highly recommend whether young or old to get yourself a ticket and see the magic for yourself.

P1200412

Don’t forget your Mickey ears!

A Spooky Day at Disneyland Paris

P1180331As an extra little birthday present K and I set off for a little spooky day trip to Disneyland.

The weather was fantastic and after a very early start we finally got into Disneyland just before lunchtime and raced to join the ridiculously long queue for Crushes Coaster in the Studios. After hurtling around at top speed we made our way back to the Park and like we do every year gazed at the castle. I seriously want to live here.

P1180359

After taking the usual snaps the first parade of the day occurred and yes I made my way to the front like a stroppy little child to wave and squeal at all my favourite characters.

P1180393P1180411P1180379

Due to the release of Maleficent earlier in the year the courtyard of the castle had been taken over by Maleficent and her court this was super cool to see all the villains out and about and they were interacting with everyone a lot more than they did last year.

P1180438P1180439

P1180554P1180442

Not only were the villains out to play but Jack and Sally were having a meet and greet, they were so super sweet and chatted to everyone. I am always amazed at how many languages the cast members can speak!

We ended the day watching the afternoon parade which is always my favourite part.

P1180537P1180527P1180546P1180561P1180570

Sadly after such a fun day we got stranded in Paris and had to wend our way back to the UK on a coach, but that’s a story for another time.
