A rather two brand outfit here but I love how the blue skirt just pops out from the white of the outfit and the different textures of the skirt and the shirt. If you are looking for a leg lengthening combination then this skirt with the huge platforms is the answer.

Little embarrassing story for y’all about the ‘bite me’ necklace. I bought it mainly because I had just had a marathon of watching Vampire Diaries and couldn’t resist buying it whilst in a daze and dreaming of Damon Salvatore. I wore it to work the other day and a customer asked.

What does your necklace say been trying to read it for ages

So first of all this guy had basically been staring at my chest the entire evening and then I just had to reply:

Bite Me

Before scurrying back inside listening to their stunned silence.

Wandering at Polesden Lacey

P1160275

Even though the holiday was over we still managed to get out of the city once we were home to still have a little holiday outings.

Around midday we hopped into the car and drove to Polesden Lacey. It’s a house and gardens in Surrey owned by the National Trust. I used to come here every weekend when I was a little munchkin but it had been years since I had explored the gorgeous house and beautiful gardens.

 P1160253

The house itself was originally owned be renowned party thrower Mrs Greville – sort of like a female Gatsby with less dancing and more dining with the King of England plus his mistress and wife! AWKWARD. Recently even more of the house has been opened to the public and its just amazing to look at each room is completely different.

P1160277P1160257P1160258

The gardens are equally as beautiful contained within stone walls but there is also acres of grounds which are fantastic for more enthusiastic walkers. We didn’t embark on a hike this visit but instead wandered about the roses wishing this was our own back garden.

To finish off the day we indulged in a cream tea from the cafe, I ate to admit I was defeated after one – look how huge they are!

Goodbyes, Rain and Cake|Norfolk Day 3

P1160201

Sadly our week long holiday was cut short due to one of us being sick – don’t worry it wasn’t me so this is the last holiday post, make sure you’ve read day 1 and 2.

P1160186

After leaving these 2 critters in charge of our invalid, mum and I set off for a walk.

P1160189

Which was a complete failure due to it pouring with rain!

P1160193P1160196

Luckily my mum has friends nearby so they popped over for tea and cake whilst we waited for the rain to stop. Just look at the carrot cake-not home made but from Cook!

P1160198

When the rain had finally stopped and just before we left to travel back to London I went for a little walk on my own just to take a few snaps.

P1160206P1160216P1160227

Although it was sad that we had to leave early we have plans to go back in January with the promise of snuggly fires and toasted marshmallows.

However my little adventure didn’t stop just there the vacation became a stay-cation so check back tomorrow for the nest instalment.

My mum and I started the next morning off with a good long walk from Blakney to Morston Quay. The sun was shining but there was still a good country breeze! I’m not going to lie I felt a little like Dorothy skipping along the yellow brick road!

P1160154P1160159

The highlight of the walk is tea and a bacon sandwich at the end.

P1160164P1160163

After a spot of lunch we jumped in the car and went off to Burnham Market-where Mr Stephen Fry lives for a spot of shopping. Burnham is a gorgeous little village with some popular shops including Jack Wills and Joules as well as a perfect second hand bookshop and a cute gift shop called Norfolk Living definitely worth a visit.

P1160166

We stumbled upon these crazy scarecrows in the town of Stiffkey!

Back home after spending our hard earned pennies it was my turn to cook dinner. I am pretty much a one trick pony in the kitchen so whipped up my hunters pie which always goes down a treat. If you are interested in the recipe let me know and i’ll pop a little recipe post up for you.

Our evening finished with a movie, tea and a good old fashioned Jigsaw!

Check back tomorrow for another day.

Grey Seals and a Midnight Fairground|Norfolk Day 1

P1160142

As we do every year my parents and I jumped into the car and drove to Blakeney, Norfolk for a week of bracing walks, scrummy food and cosy nights in. I’ve done two other posts about my time in Blakeney which you can read here and here.

We were staying in a cute little cottage called Grey Seals with the hopes that my sister and her husband would join us later on in the week.

P1160138

Seeing as we hadn’t arrived till the late afternoon we didn’t get to have a walk till the sun had gone down but armed with a torch we set off to the sea front.

P1160135

Yes those are my Miffy Pj’s, the perfect midnight walk outfit.

After a lovely little wander round the fairground it was back to the warmth of the cottage for a movie and some popcorn.

Make sure you check back tomorrow for the day 2!

Just Call Me Darling|OOTD

Dress – H&M|Hat – New Look|Shoes – Kurt Geiger.

If you haven’t already seen this outfit over on my My Vegas Style post then click here; but I loved the outfit and the photos that I took that I wanted to share them with you.

Little white dress is becoming as popular as a the little black dress and this lace number from H&M is just perfect. It’s pretty short but with a pair of sky scraper heels your legs look amazing! Despite it’s shortness the high neck makes this dress still look quite demure and lady like. The hat is super old but it gives a touch of old Hollywood glamour and as for my shoes I have had these babies for yonks but to be honest they are not the comfiest of shoes so don’t wear them that often but aren’t they beautiful!

Lilac Dip Dye ?!

P1160088P1160090

I wanted to dip dye my ends lavender – and before all you hair experts go ‘omgosh thats like the hardest thing to do why did you even try‘ I know it’s hard! I went with Fudge hair products, I purchased Whiter Shade of Pale which is a toner and also good for diluting other dyes and then I also got Blueberry Hill which is a deep purple.

First I toned my hair with the Fudge Whiter Shade of Pale which is fantastic and really helps get rid of the brassy tones especially for brunettes with bleach like me. I then waited a week – maybe this is where I went wrong, before attempting to dye my ends lilac. It was really easy to mix and apply; although I got a little carried away with the Blueberry Hill which is why it’s looking a little more of a purply pink. After washing the dye out it ended up looking like this.

P1160097P1160102

As you can see the dye did not take to all my hair so there are still some blonde strands left but where it did take the colour is not as vibrant as I had hoped it would be. Sadly after these photos were taken I then did a deep condition on my hair and this stripped out all the pink dye out even though its supposed to stay for up to around 20 washes.

I’m not giving up on using the Fudge dye or my lilac dip dye so stay tuned for more attempts.

Any advice or good salons I could visit let me know in the comments!
