Purple Pink Ombre|Review

Still on my quest to get lilac ends I turned to a favourite brand of mine Live Colour XXL and went for the colour Purple Pink. I did mix it with a little bit of Superdrug‘s Pro Vitamin Colour Protect Conditioner to make it slightly lighter but also to make sure it didn’t dry out my ends. Live Colour XXL is really thick and nice to apply, no dripping onto the floor it clings to the hair and with the bright colour its obvious which bit you have and haven’t done I always leave it on for at least half an hour to make sure I get the full colour out of it.

Now obviously this is nowhere near lilac but I actually really like the colour. It dyed the ends more than the upper part of my bleach but I sort of like the graduation of the colour and my hair doesn’t feel dry which is a major plus. Although it’s not lilac I love this colour and will definitely be topping the colour up, the only downside is that if you use a lot of product when styling your hair i.e. mousse, heat protect etc then the colour tends to fade a little quicker than normal however it does normally last up to at least 6 washes.

Purple Heather|OOTD

Dress – Missguided|Hat – Topshop|Boots – H&M (similar).

Sometimes a dress just says it all and that’s exactly what this one from Missguided does; with its bold tartan print and low cut neckline-well low cut for me anyway. I went for my old favourite H&M heeled boots to give me a little height and a cosy pair of tights from Primark. Yes autumn is here and so its time for the Super Cosy tights to come out of hibernation. As always with a busy dress I tend not to over do the accessorises choosing my Topshop bowler to top off the whole outfit.  I hadn’t really noticed that my hair, dress and lips (Rule Breaker by 17) all matched but I rather like it.

Babyliss Thermo-Ceramic Rollers|Review

Babyliss Thermo-Ceramic Rollers 3045U£29.99

I always thought I was a curling tong kind of a girl and don’t get me wrong I still love my curling tongs but I have recently been trying out heated rollers to add curl and bounce to my hair, for those days when it’s looking a little bit flat. The Babyliss model 3045U is a 20 roller set with 8 large, 6 medium and 6 small plus you get pins and super clips to help secure everything.

Now I find that putting hot rollers on someone else is 10x easier than doing it on yourself so give yourself a little bit of time to practice before you pass judgement on them. I love the Babyliss ones as they give curl and volume to my hair. I take the 8 large ones and use them on the top of my head and then progress onto the medium ones on the sides and down the back, before filling in any gaps with the tiny ones.

At only £29.99 if you are big into hair tools and want to add some bounce to your hair then these are a great investment.

Peaches and Plums|FOTD

I haven’t done a FOTD for ages but I forgot how great they at showing you guys the different products I have been using.

Currently I have ditched the foundation, my skin is looking good so I don’t need to even out my skin tone too much. For concealer I have been loving my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer, it’s lightweight and the light reflecting particles make your eyes look brighter. On my one little spot – damn that time of the month I have the 17 Phwoaar Paint which is good heavy duty cream concealer. Seeing as I am not wearing foundation I put on a little bit of the Collection Pressed Powder to keep any shine away.

On my eyes I used a Clinique duo; Frosted Blossom all over the lid and then Stone Violet in the crease, pretty but subtle. On my lashes is the L’Oreal Volume Million Lash Excess which is great for creating big lashes without falsies or curling them. Moving onto my cheeks, I always thought that pink and peach couldn’t be used at the same time but the Soap&Glory Sexy Mother Blusher in Onamatopecha is a beautiful barley there peach which just lifts the colour and complements the pink on the eyes. To contour with I used another cream product the Bourjois Bronzing Primer. It’s perfect for the paler girls as it does’t come out orange on the skin.

Too finish off the look I combined the peach and pink on my lips using MAC Crosswires which is a coral pink. It’s bright and makes a statement.

Top 5 Autumn Lipsticks

P1180229P1180231S&G Blush Pink|Rimmel Glam Plum Fulham|17 Rule Breaker|Rimmel Metoric Matte|Rimmel Across the Universe.

Autumn has officially arrived and I have to say I am very excited. Mainly because it means that berry lips are back! I have compiled my top five autumnal lip shades and yes Rimmel features heavily – what can I say they are my favourite high street brand for lip products!

Soap&Glory Super-Colour Fabu-LIP-stick in Blush Pink£9.00

This is the perfect lipstick for someone who is just dipping their toes into the berry tones. A more pink than berry lipstick which goes on matte but without drying out your lips. It has a creamy texture with a great wear time. My first choice for a day time lip colour.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Glam Plum Fulham£6.49

For people who prefer a bright berry lip full of pigmentation and shine the Moisture Renew Lipstick in Glam Plum Fulham is for you. Full of colour and super moisturising these glide on effortlessly and stay for a good long while as well. An added bonus is that the Moisture Renew contains vitamins A,C and E to help keep your delicate lips cared for.

17 Stay Pout Lipstick in Rule Breaker£4.49

This lipstick looks similar to the Glam Plum Fulham but has slightly less shine on the lips for those who like a bright lip but with a more sophisticated edge. Creamy like the others however it becomes more of a stain afterwards so a lip balm is suggested. the pigmentation and wear time of Rule Breaker is fabulous for anyone who doesn’t have time to top their lipstick up during the day.

Rimmel Apocolips Lip Velvet in Metoric Matte£6.49

Again a very similar colour however of the matte variety. Matte but without drying your lips out this liquid lipstick creates the perfect day to night colour with amazing staying power and pigmentation. Slightly tricker to apply but the doe-foot applicator helps and as it’s so full of colour a little goes a long way.

Rimmel Apocolips in Across the Universe£6.49

Fiishing it up with a slightly more red offering. This deep red is the perfect autumnal hollywood glamour lip colour. Full of pigment and with a fantastic wear time this is great for anyone who loves to party but doesn’t want to spend time touching up their lipstick when they could be dancing.

Sangria Sisters|Lifestyle

P1180156Recently my sister came to stay and we went to a local tapas restaurant called Pincho and I thought I would share some snaps with you all starting with this yummy jug of sangria which took me back to my recent holiday in Spain.

We stuffed ourselves silly with spicy bbq ribs, salty halloumi cheese, sweet lamb tagine, calamari, meatballs and more. Needless to say my jeans top button was straining by the end of it.

However I managed to cram in some passion fruit cheesecake which was equally as good as the rest of the food.

Me after a few too many sangrias.P1180158

Sitting outside in this unusually warm September evening was glorious and I hope to squeeze in a few more outside dinners before October hits.

Sorry this wasn’t a full lifestyle post it was kind of a last minute idea to go out for dinner and there was lots of catching up to do.

Eylure No.154 Lashes|Review

P1180135P1180131P1180140Eylure Texture Lashes No.154£5.35

I love false lashes and these babies by Eylure have not left my eyes since I first tried them on, if you watch my videos both here and on YouTube then you will have seen them a lot already.

Eylure lashes has a useful strip which blends seamlessly into the eye as its clear – no thick black line, making these look a little more natural then other lashes I have tried. These are not so much for length but to add volume to your lashes however they do still add length and are not completely natural but I am all for in your face lashes so these are perfect.

I have worn these around 10+ times already, mainly for filming and for nights out and they are still going strong, as long as I pick the glue off each time. My only dislike of this product is the large amount of packaging for a pair of lashes and some glue! But the actual product itself is amazing.
