If you find yourself in Teddington on a Sunday, or any day really get yourself into The Kings Head immediately.
Before we get into the post apologies for the photography quality it’s not up to my usual standard but I hope you enjoy anyway.
With a Sunday together the Mr and I decided to revisit The Kings Head in Teddington. We had been before for an amazing lunch but I had forgotten my camera I couldn’t not share it with everyone so we journeyed back camera safely in my bag ready to go.
Plus the food is so good it wasn’t really a hardship to revisit.
As always I kicked everything off with a Gin&Tonic, they have an amazing selection of gins with the perfect pairings so if you’re a gin lover then you will be in heaven.
We shared the potted Cromer crab with avocado and prawn butter on toasted sourdough; rich and indulgent, I certainly could have eaten one to myself. Probably best for my waistband I didn’t!
This photo does not do the pork roast justice! The Mr chose the rack of free-range Cherry Orchard pork with apple fritter and green apple sauce as well as all the trimmings. Succulent pork, perfect Yorkshire puddings and just the right amount of gravy.
I opted for something a little lighter; their Ravioli duo – goat’s cheese with rosemary, pea & mint, served with wilted spring vegetables in a beautiful creamy sauce. Whatever you chose for mains I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed but make sure you leave room for dessert.
The Mr couldn’t resist having the Pistachio soufflé with rich chocolate ice cream again after having it the first time we were there. Its beautifully light and a rather impressive colour.
I also couldn’t help but revisit the Chocolate delice: crispy feuillantine base with velvety chocolate mousse and panacotta cream with Kirsch and hazelnuts. A chocoholics dream.
Whether you are looking for a romantic meal, a family reunion or a girly get together book a table at The Kings Head you won’t be disappointed!
