Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick|Review

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Hot Pepper – £8.99

“Bold, matte and long-lasting colour with 24hr hold. It’s lightweight, velvety texture and non-drying formula gives extreme comfort that doesn’t smudge!”

I caved and purchased one of these back in May after reading a lot about them on the blog scene and I have to say I am neither super impressed nor unimpressed. The colour is a slight orange red which is perfect for the summer and the pigmentation of these is great. If you apply it with the applicator you can really build up the colour or if you use your finger it can be a much softer look however due to it being a red its best to lip line as I find these do bleed a little bit. The colour really does last a long time through eating, drinking and talking so if you like long wearing lipsticks then this could be the one for you.

The formula is not exactly velvety, soft yes but still a little dry and well just odd when it goes on. It dries super quickly though and is really lightweight on the lips. The packaging is not very impressive but I quite like the simplicity of it. This is just one of those products that I don’t regret purchasing but I won’t re-purchase it.

Whats your opinion on the Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks?

Peace Out and Pixie Dust XO

  1. Looks like my kind of lippy I may need to own this shade, thanks for the heads up on the drying part though x
