I am not the worlds greatest cook but I do make a bloody good pie so to celebrate my wonderful mum I made Hunters pie which involves popping venison mince, a range of vegetables, stock and beans into a pan to cook and then pour into a dish, top with mash and cheese warm in the oven and serve.

Sadly I couldn’t spend the actual day with my mum due to work so after work on the Saturday I popped into my nearby supermarket picked up some roses and a couple of Gin&tonics – my mums favourite before rushing home to light some candles and get the party poppers out.

My mum is my best friend and my rock. I couldn’t imagine life without her. She’s been there during my during both my proudest and lowest moments. We argue, giggle and do silly things together; she also gives the best hugs ever!

I hope you all had a lovely day with your mum or spent the day remembering her if she is no longer with you.

Peace Out and Pixie Dust XO
